"Fashions fade, style is eternal." —Yves Saint Laurent

Get ready to swap out your summer staples for cozy knits and statement boots, because this fall, it’s all about layering up and embracing the season’s chicest trends. Let’s look at some fits for fall!

1. Layered Looks

Fall is all about layers, and mastering this technique can elevate your style. Start with a basic tank top or long-sleeve tee as your base. Layer a chunky knit cardigan or an oversized jacket on top. Pair it with low waisted jeans and your favorite boots, or flats for a casual yet clean look. If you are really feeling crazy, put on some tights, a mini skirt and boots. Something about an oversized sweater and mini skirt feels so girly and chic. Another layering tip I have is to slip on a pair long socks with your boots. Just having the very top of the sock sticking out of the boot adds the cutest touch to any outfit. Maybe even add a unique scarf or hat for a pop of individuality and extra warmth.

2. Sweater Weather

It’s nothing-but-knit this fall season. Your fits for fall must include a chunky cable-knit, sweater vest, or button-down cardigan that can be dressed up or down (I prefer cardigans with the high necklines. as opposed to the v-necks).  Pair your knit with your favorite jeans for a more relaxed look or put it with a long skirt. Don’t forget to accessorize with your favorite jacket, and a chunky necklace, or choker. A look I am super excited to try out this fall is a fitted white button up with a sweater vest. I love the idea of possibly pairing it with a denim skirt or baggy jeans.

4. Fall Colors

Fall colors evoke feelings of warmth, comfort, and nostalgia. The rich tones of autumn can inspire a sense of coziness, making us more inclined to seek out gatherings, enjoy seasonal treats, and embrace the simple pleasures of life. Think rich browns, deep reds, navys, and of course, our most trusted friends, black and white. Don’t be afraid of plaids either. A plaid mini skirt could elevate an outfit beyond belief with the right styling.

5. Statement Outerwear

As temperatures drop, your outerwear becomes a key player in your fall outfits. Invest in an oversized brown or black leather jacket. A rich brown leather jacket is everything to me. Paired with a basic base and long colorful scarf, you are sure to look effortlessly cool. I also love a corduroy jacket, specifically in a fall color or shade of brown. It creates a soft, and warm look.

6. Cozies

The entire appeal of fall is the nostalgic feeling of comfort the season brings. It is totally acceptable to have a lazy day in fall. However, a lazy day does not have to sacrifice style. A pair of baggy jeans or sweats with your favorite oversized hoodie is my favorite fall lazy day outfit. Honestly a go-to class outfit for me. I love to pair it with my Ugg suede slippers or Ugg ankle boots. I know Uggs can be pretty pricey but there are plenty of affordable dupes on the market. If you arent a big boot person, just your favorite pair of sneakers will do just fine.

7. Classic Denim

Denim is a fall staple that never fails. Low waisted jeans, long or mini denim skirts, denim jackets, vests, you name it. Denim is so versatile for fall. It meshes warmth and style effortlessly. There are also so many different denim washes to choose from. I am really into a deep blue denim wash at the moment, but light washes will always have a close place to my heart.
